Last year Three Oaks provided shelter to 274 women and 95 children even though they are only funded to assist 130 women and 64 children.

There were no extra funds provided by the government to assist with the costs of the additional admissions.

This year, the annual funding target was surpassed in October and still no additional funds.  It is only because of the generosity of the community that Three Oaks is able to continue to:

  1. Provide temporary shelter to women and children.

  2. Provide nonjudgmental, supportive counselling from a feminist perspective.

  3. Advocate on behalf of women and children.

  4. Educate the public about violence against women and children.

Royal LePage is the only Canadian real estate company with its own charitable foundation. The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs.

Every dollar raised goes directly to helping the more than 50,000 women and children who are served each year by the shelters and support programs we fund. Since 1998, the Shelter Foundation has raised $35 million and currently supports 200 local women’s shelters and national partners.

With a 20-year partnership with Canadian Women’s Foundation makes Royal LePage one of their largest corporate donors. Each year, through this partnership, we help to fund 30+ grassroots programs across Canada focused on helping women and children rebuild their lives after violence and programs that help youth to develop and nurture healthy relationships.
